Nice Day

imageNo appointments at MD Anderson.  No tests.  No IVs.  No blood work.  No waiting rooms.  No johnny that opens in the back.  No forms to fill out for the hundredth time.  No bumper to bumper traffic!  Who cares if it was raining.  It was an AWESOME day.

Jerry and I went to the Apple store and learned how to use I-Movie to make a slide show with music.  Lot of fun.  Jerry wants to know more about spreadsheet but he’ll go back for those lessons while I’m in the hospital.  We found some nice little gifts for Lana for her First Communion, did some grocery shopping and laundry.  Jerry went out to get an oil change and pick up some prescriptions and I played around with I-Movie.  Anne and Clark came home from their vacation….wonderful to see them and gab with them.  As I said, it was a great day.

No more news about test results.  I kept checking my website today but nothing is posted.  Guess we’ll have to wait for Dr. Ho to go over everything tomorrow.  I imagine it will be fine…and as several of you have mentioned, one week from today I will be cancer free!  Amazing.1920190_10202703754090247_984455011_n

  5. Great shirt and so true! You are brave and amazing my friend! Yes, in a week it will change for you and you’ll be rid of the tests, the radiation and the surgery and be on your way to a full recovery and a once again healthy YOU! Nice to have a day off to just be. Rain is good. Just about everywhere around needs it. We’ve had some snow here-not much. They say April is a big snow month–so we’ll see. And in just one week…aweome. What a journey! Rest well, Wendie

  7. I am so happy and excited for you! Just keep that wonderful news-cancer free-after the surgery and you will get through that part just fine. Love ya, G.

  8. Such good news on your tests. One more hurdle with your surgery. Thank you for sharing your journey.

  9. Mary, you can’t imagine how happy and relieved I am that all the tests are coming back with such positive results! Surgery and its aftermath will be tough, yes, but at that time you can focus on being “cancer free”….how great is that?!? Have a wonderful weekend with your family. Thinking of you and Jerry often!
